Why did you end up choosing this car?
Nick: "I've always loved everything about Subarus but before I chose the STI, I did have a few other options in mind like an evo9 or an s2000. I've always loved all 3 of the cars and have planned to own every one of them at some point in life. I knew that for a while the car would be daily driven and from there the STI was an easy choice."
What was the main goal when the build started?
Nick: "The only real goal I had in mind was to build it the way I want and to build something that I can say I'm proud of. I wanted to build something that end of the day makes me happy whether it's looking at it or driving it."
Do you have a unique story behind the car or build?
Nick: "I actually had a right hand drive twin turbo Subaru Legacy before the STI. I planned to keep it with the STI but it kept breaking down and was costing too much money so I immediately sold the car. After that I went a few months without a car while looking for the right STI. Everyone knew that I planned to have a plasma blue STI bagged on Work Meisters and everyone doubted me. I finally found the right one and before I even told anyone I ordered my suspension and wheels. I brought the car home and only a handful of people even knew it was in my possession before the bags were on the car."
Is there anything you would have done differently if you could go back?
Nick: "If I could go back the only thing I would've done differently is take my time. I never cut corners with the car but I did rush things and in the long run it has caused a lot of stress and a couple flaws."
What are your future plans for the car?
Nick: "My future plans for the car are questionable. I still love the car but now that I have a daily I find myself back on the idea of an s2000. If I do keep it I plan to fix the flaws that it has, carbon fenders, blacked out headlights with copper flakes, bride/status seats, and some more performance parts like headers, wastegate, fmic, injectors, fuel pump and a tune for e85. If I decide to keep the car and do everything mentioned above I will also end up upgrading to an iag block and keep going from there."
Do you have any shoutouts you'd like to give?
Nick: "Royal Stance, MPBuilt, all my friends and family that supported and encouraged me with this build."
