Why did you choose this car?
MICHAEL: "I chose this car because, at around the age of 7 (give or take couple years), my brother had gotten a 2002 Lexus IS300 5-spd with black exterior and interior. The moment I saw the car let alone, sat inside of it, I instantly fell in love and knew I wanted this car when I grew up. He would normally take care of me as a child meaning I got to ride in this car almost everyday (woo!) and I would watch him do some small modifications as well. Obviously till this day, I still had the same love for the car which is why I had to get me one because my brother did not save me his car. >:-("
What was the main goal when the build started?
MICHAEL: "My main goal was to become a stancy boi. I literally made a post during the early stages of the build saying something like, “I wish I was as cool as the stance guys.” and, once I reached to that point, I felt accomplished. I was finally on bags with 3-piece wheels, different color, a body kit, etc. I even gotten to the point where people looked up to me which was such a great feeling!
As times go on, things would change (i.e. color, body kit, small parts, etc)."

Do you have a unique story behind the car or build?
MICHAEL: "It may not be unique to others but it is unique to me. If anyone knows anything about 5-spd IS300s it’s that it’s hard to find them (ESPECIALLY in North Carolina). My girlfriend and I searched literally all day everyday for one and I absolutely refused to buy an auto. Fortunately, the research finally paid off because my girlfriend finds this car on Facebook Marketplace! I was ecstatic and was ready to go pick it up. It was in pretty mint condition with lowish miles and it was a really good deal. We picked it up and had my girlfriend drive it back home as I was not confident in my manual driving skills yet (she had to teach me, heh.) and then once it got home, the AC compressor stopped working and had a shit battery, LOL."
What are your future plans for the car?
MICHAEL: "My future plans for this car is to go widebody (over fenders) on it. I also plan to finally go stand-alone ECU and possibly rebuild the motor with a stronger bottom block, GTE internals, etc. I will be getting my wheels fully polished. I will also be upgrading hopefully every single bushings/upgrade suspension parts so they never fail on me.
I am not sure what else I would do except for small things."

Is there anything you would have done differently if you could go back?
MICHAEL: "Yes, I would have rebuilt the motor and go boost first and I would’ve have upgraded all my suspension parts."
Shoutouts
Main shoutout to my girlfriend @nastaefrs (and some of her family members) for even making it possible I get this car. If it was not for her finding me my car, I don’t know if any of this would be the same.
BIG BIG shoutout to Noah @fronymedia for giving me this opportunity to be on this feature on Slammedenuff website. I never would have thought I would make it this far to the point I get featured on one of the biggest page/influences/influencer. I would always dream about having people such as Slammedenuff to notice me one day.
Big shoutout to Bryan Xaysanavongphet @bryanxay for helping me with this build when I needed it the most. I broke my hand becoming handicapped and my dude literally drove 40-45 mins almost everyday to help me finish the turbo build. I will always appreciate the help and effort he has given me. This is also his car now.
