As for the interior, it was factory tan. I decided to change it to all black. You can imagine the process of making this change.
The interior was the most difficult part of the build. It was extremely tedious chasing down LHD parts for a vehicle that was only produced for only 3 years. And these were just 3 simple years, I was dealing with 1993-1995. At this time, the car was designed to be RHD only. So to enter the USA, they had to be converted to LHD, and there are not many LHD parts left in the world that are still in good condition, nevertheless for black interior and I wasn’t going to settle for anything that wasn’t at least in near-new condition. Everything had to be damn near perfect (as you can see by the end result)…
After many months of countless days of contact searching for parts, I finally pieced it all together. I achieved a near new fully black interior.

Why did you choose this car?
CHRISTOPHER: "I am a true RX-7 FD enthusiast. I've had RX-7 FD running through his veins since 1998. After a year of infatuation with my favorite car, i got my first FD in 1999. Fast forward 17 years, it was 2016, and i got my second RX-7 FD. This is the one we are looking at today. It is a 1993 Mazda RX-7 FD Touring Edition."
What was the main goal when the build started?
CHRISTOPHER: "I wanted it to be extremely reliable while also being able to 2Step like no other and have the ability to put down 400+HP aswell. As i began to put it all back together, and with so many new parts, I realized, it was time to build an RX-7 that represents the true Rotary Powered RX-7 FD."
Do you have a unique story behind the car or build?
CHRISTOPHER: "None of it was sunshine and rainbows to start. Within 4 months of purchasing it, the engine blew! The infamous apex seal had failed me. At this point, I was faced with having to commit to a full rebuild as well as replacing half the engine with new parts. I decided to bite the bullet and got a brand new 13B motor. Once I pulled the old engine out, i knew i couldn’t just install the newly built motor in such a beat up engine bay/car. The car was originally Black. I stripped it down to the bare metal and completely repainted it to my liking. Like a fresh canvas.
I Drove it from Florida to NYC and Back to attend and be part of the biggest rx7 event in the USA. 7sday 2018

What are your future plans for the car?
CHRISTOPHER: "I plan to add more Carbon Fiber addons, vented Seibon Hood painted same as car but with carbon vents. I'm daydreaming about SSR TF1 or SPX Wheels and AirLift Management. Car will be getting a fresh rebuild ), more 2 step and an exterior fresh paint (same color, more pearl). Overall I'm very happy With the cars power and reliability."
Is there anything you would have done differently if you could go back?
CHRISTOPHER: "If I could do it again. I would do nothing differently on my second RX7 .gold_digger_7."
