Matt McKinney's 2009 Honda Civic DX

Matt: "First off, everyone sees my car and automatically sees an Si. It is actually not an si. It's a DX. It is a 5 speed. The DX is actually the bottom of the line civics. It has no cruise control, no sun roof, and the door handles and side view mirrors come a cheap black plastic. I color matched them to the car like how they come on every other model.
I bought the car in May of 2012 and didn't start modding it until about the end of 2013. Like most everyone else getting started, the car first saw cheap coilovers and XXR's. After a few set of reps, I finally saved and bought bags and real wheels. I've always been about quality and doing right. Of course, this car is my daily. I keep it as meticulous as I can with routine detailing and engine maintenance. I do all my own oil changes and anything else that is needed to be serviced. Bag install and everything under the list was done by my only hands. I'm now 20 years old and go to school and work full time. I live in a small and quiet town of Palm Bay Florida. About an hour southeast of the busy city Orlando. I work hard for my car and it pays back in gratification of my own.
My future plans are rear fender flares, different management, and white work xd9's that I plan to stay on for the life of the car. I've done it all with this car and I will probably never sell it.
My love for stance, speed, and unique cars will never die. The diversity of people and cars I've come across throughout the process is something I would take back.
Lastly, I want to give a shoutout to my good friends with Authentic for taking home some gold at Stoopicold. And my nigga David Moore with the Grey static z4 for holding our city down."
